Kobe Blog Day: Sorry, I Missed the Party
The Hardwood Paroxysm created Kobe Blog Day was Tuesday. Although, I didn’t have a chance to join in the party, I did get an early start last week with this post. If you haven’t already, please check it out. And of course, please check out the list of posts from Kobe Blog Day over at Hardwood Paroxysm. There’s even a post by Basketbawful—which is amazing, considering how much he does not care for the Bean.
My only beefs:
*No write up from the godfather of basketball blogging, Henry Abbott. Henry, I know you’re a Blazer fan, but you couldn’t take the time to show my man some love? I mean, despite being a Lakers fan, I was able to do a tribute post to Clyde Drexler a couple of years back (thanks to Oregon Live's Sean Meagher for linking to that old post this week). The least you could do is write a paragraph on the Bean, right? Actually, I believe Henry was traveling on that day, so I’ll give him a pass on that one.
*Kobe’s own website, KB24.com, didn’t pick up on Kobe blog day. That site is all about promoting Mamba. And as such, there’s no excuse for them not to mention the blog day on the site, since Kobe Blog Day was the ultimate tribute to one of the Bean. I can’t give KB24.com too much grief though, since it is definitely run better than the majority of the athlete websites out there. That doesn’t mean there is not room for them to improve on their promotion of the second coming of the Black Cat.
