Follow up on Peja
From ESPN.com:
"Dishonorable mention: Hornets forward Peja Stojakovic followed his 36-point explosion on Tuesday with a 2-for-13 stinker, canceling out teammate David West's 34 points and 18 rebounds in the first loss of the season for New Orleans, at Portland."
Yesterday I talked about how you sometimes have to live with a game like Peja had the other night against he Lakers. No way he shoots like that in every game this season. Obviously he was on the second of a back to back last night, but I really think it shows that the Lakers can't be that mad at their performance on Tuesday. Yest they should have been more concious of him on the floor. But when a guy get's that hot, there really is not much you can do. He got a lot of the same shots against Portland but just wasn't able to knock them down. If anything, they Lakers really should be upset with the way they turned over the ball. If they would have been more careful with the ball and got to the free throw line a bit more, they still would have been able to overcome Peja's tremendous night of shooting.
